Who is the CDM Audit for?

A CDM Audit can be for anyone who has a duty under the CDM 2015 Regulations.
It is especially beneficial for the commercial client as the duties placed upon them are onerous and need to be carefully considered.

What does the CDM Audit service cover?
​
The scope of services include:
An examination of your internal processes and procedures to review how your organisation aims to meet the requirements under the CDM 2015 Regulations.
An audit/s of a live project to review your application of those processes and procedures.
These audits shall review how your organisation as a a commercial client carries out the following:

Make suitable arrangements for managing the project, enabling those carrying it out to manage health and safety risks in a proportionate way including the requirement to:

Appoint contractors and designers to the project (including the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on projects involving more than one contractor) while making sure they have the skills, knowledge, experience, and organisational capability

Allow sufficient time and resources for each stage of the project
​​

Make sure that any Principal Designer and principal contractor appointed to carry out their duties in managing the project
​​

Make sure that suitable welfare facilities are provided for the duration of the construction work.

Maintain and review the management arrangements for the duration of the project
​​

Provide pre-construction information to every designer and contractor either bidding for the work or already appointed to the project
​​

Ensure that the Principal Contractor or contractor (for single contractor projects) prepares a construction phase plan before that phase begins

Ensure that the Principal Designer prepares a health and safety file for the project and that it is revised as necessary and made available to anyone who needs it for subsequent work at the site

When does my business need a CDM Audit?

A CDM audit can be undertaken at any time and during any project. We would request an early consultation with the client to understand their organisation and any relevant projects so that we can plan how to best undertake the audit.

A CDM audit helps the Client demonstrate their commitments to H&S performance and demonstrates a proactive approach to fulfilling their duties under the CDM 2015 Regulations. It will also provide a suitable audit trail should there be any incidents relating to the Health and Safety during the project.
